Thursday, December 22, 2005 After a 19 hour journey, I'm finally back :) And now I'm off again, off to Sze's house now... hopefully its not THAT hot and humid up there >.< My instant reaction was HOOOLLYY SHIIIIT when I stepped out of the airport... i felt my face melting as I tasted the heat. My voice also went funny for awhile, what the hell is in the air??? So anyways, too much to say (I really shouldn't), I gotta get runnin now, my dogs are well, and they remember me :D |

Monday, December 19, 2005 I know I haven't been updating at all... just letting you know I'm still alive, and have had a very busy weekend. First off, sisters wedding: Fantastic. Lots of food, stuffed my face and "tarpau'ed" wtv my hands could carry :P Second: Two movies. King Kong = The good stuff, go watch it if you haven't. Chronicles of Narnia = Shit, unless you like kiddy shows... the plot had so many holes (I've never read the book but the movie was really shit to me) and some (most) of it was just ridiculous. Wednesday, December 14, 2005 As I promised, here are some of the pictures I managed to take today at the premiere, note that I didn't get pictures of Peter Jackson, Naomi Watts (picture turned out too bright, and can't really see her face), Karl Urban (camera crapped out), and the rest of the NZ stars. I did however get pics of the others (even though I thought I missed a few). |

What a bloody hot day... and of all days too. I was down at Courtenay Place again, where the streets were closed off for the red carpet. I was standing right in front :) The whole street was packed full of people, I got the best spot (after much pushing asian style), right where the stars get dropped off at the red carpet... UNFORTUNATELY MY DUMBASS SISTER DIDN'T CHARGE BOTH BATTERIES FOR THE CAMERA SO I ONLY TOOK VERY FEW PICTURES. I missed Peter Jackson, the guy who played gollum/kong, and I'm not sure if I managed to snap Adrian Brody/Naomi Watts as my camera kept dying on me... I'll have my sisters head. At least I was standing a meter away from them :) I really should've brought a marker + paper... totally slipped my mind. Oh yeah, I stole the ultimate piece of swag - one of them big King Kong posters strapped to the railings :P Busted my finger in the process >.< |

Monday, December 12, 2005 This guy's site is simply fun (and funny) to read. He's a black American named Azrael who lives in Japan and works as an English teacher, and talks about his life regarding his work, his colleagues, and his students... and also how Japanese culture differs greatly from everywhere else... it doesn't take long to realize that the Japanese are just sooo weird :P I've never gotten so close to Japanese school life before. Highly recommend, extremely enjoyable read, as I've pretty much spent all of today reading his editorials (minus the hours spent outdoors + comp invaded by family members). |
